”Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” ~William Morris
Welcome to 20th Avenue Studios, a space devoted to celebrating homemade food, handmade goods, and good old-fashioned cottage industrialism.
We are two people who live and work in Brooklyn, who share an affinity for nature. We are inspired by the idea of producing as much as possible of what we need, and trying to make good choices with respect to the rest. This site is devoted to exploring these ideas, as well showing some of the stuff we make and sharing information about how we stay industrious.
For recipes, pictures of the garden, and information on what Frank is making in the studio, please check out our Kitchen, Garden, and Studio blogs, where we document some of the things we are working on day-to-day. You can also find Frank’s ceramics on the Gallery page, which features images and information about his finished work.
Thanks for stopping by,
~Frank and Heather
